Dave and Merrijoy Mantor
have been singing gospel music
together since 1964, traveling first in college and then extensively for their sacred concerts and revival services. Merrijoy grew up in a singing parsonage family. She is a licensed music teacher in the Anderson (IN.) Community School system as well as having taught piano and voice privately. Merrijoy has toured Puerto Rico singing her witness. Dave also started with singing in church and then continued in college with a'cappella choir
and gospel quartets.
Their initial start as husband and wife was in the Wabash Conference of the Free Methodist Church as music director at Indianapolis First Church and then at
North Anderson Free Methodist Church in Anderson, Indiana until 1991.
In addition to their music, Dave and Merrijoy
have served several churches in the interim pastoral position (Independent Christian and United Methodist Church, Muncie, IN. District). The call upon their lives continues to be to serve by traveling to churches and summer camps everywhere
proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ
to people through song
and the preached word.
